The boy, Jack, is safely behind some glass however the lioness, Kyla, tries repeatedly to get to the boy by swiping the glass and biting. To his credit the child is totally clam and can be heard to be repeating “kitty , kitty” as the 4-year-old lioness continued her hopeless assault behind him.
The clip quickly garnered nearly 10,000 views online within a few days of being posted.
Meanwhile, workers at the zoo told a local television news channel that the lions are always interested in young visitors, before adding that the exhibit is completely safe.
